FREE BMUS Ultrasound physics revision workshop for the first FRCR examination

18th Nov 2020

Live Webinar with Barry Ward, Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Sian Curtis, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

This free half-day BMUS online workshop, led by two experienced clinical scientists, will reinforce trainees’ existing knowledge of ultrasound physics in preparation for the upcoming FRCR physics examination. During the workshop the three main subject areas in the ultrasound part of the physics curriculum – basic physics, imaging and ultrasound safety – will be discussed in detail, with particular emphasis on transducers, B-mode, colour Doppler, PW Doppler, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, and the safety indices.

Registered attendees are strongly encouraged to submit questions and topics for discussion in the weeks leading up the event – as well as interactively on the day – allowing the two clinical scientists to tailor the online teaching to the attendees’ specific requirements. In addition to trainee radiologists, the event is likely to be useful to a range of other clinical users of the modality, including sonographers, vascular scientists and trainee obstetricians.
