Interventional Radiology – The Basics
Interventional Radiology – The Basics course will be run in the Peninsula Radiology Academy in Plymouth on 4th & 5th April.
Interventional Radiology is a growing branch of radiology that utilizes minimally invasive image guided procedures to both diagnose and treat disease.
At the Peninsula Radiology Academy, we deliver the core Interventional Radiology curriculum set out by the RCR in a spiral fashion. This is delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorials and workshops.
Junior registrars are introduced to basic IR concepts and provided with an opportunity to practice various procedures in a relaxed atmosphere.
We utilize a state of the art Mentice simulator (VIST-LAB with VIST G5) and different physical models.
Our dedicated faculty is comprised of very enthusiastic consultants and senior trainees.
We also offer the IRTB : Interventional Radiology- The Basics, A two day course aimed at radiology trainees in the first four years of training, junior doctors and medical students . The syllabus is designed to cover many aspects of the RCR core and subspecialty IR curriculum 2010.
