Dr Samantha Mills is a Consultant Neuroradiologist. She held a joint RCR/CRUK Clinical Research Fellowship, undertaking a PhD in advanced MRI of adult brain tumours using novel MR techniques, including dynamic contrast enhanced MRI, diffusion imaging and oxygen enhanced MRI at the University of Manchester. She has since maintained a strong academic interest and is involved in a number of active neuro-oncology and neuro-inflammatory research projects including neuro-oncology, imaging biomarkers and translational research. In 2014, she moved to the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool.
Dr Mills holds positions on the National Cancer Research Institute Brain Studies Group, the academic subcommittee of BSNR and the British Neuro-Oncology Society, where she is Chair of the newly formed Education subcommittee. She is keen to promote neuroradiology as a career for interested radiology registrars and highlight the advantages of both understanding and participating in the research that adds value to clinical practice.
